History of Khlong Khen
In the past, the Klong Kone mangrove forest was destroyed. For shrimp farming and other benefits. The abundance of marine resources near the coast has been lost. Can not do coastal fishing. The population in the area to do other jobs.
Later in the year 1991, villagers in the area, led by adults, Paiboon Ratanapongtar (brew), helped restore the condition of the mangrove. To be as fertile as it was before in the first 3 years without success. Later, government agencies began to see the importance of gracious benevolence from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. He saw the importance of planting mangrove here. He came here to plant mangroves here in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2002 and 2004, until now. Mangrove forest area of Ban Klong Kone is abundant again. There are many coastal aquatic animals. Sufficient fisheries can be enough. Some of the villagers have formed a group of professions, such as the sailors, the barbarians (the fishermen's huts that were planted in the middle of the sea for the purpose of keeping the cockles) and the ecotourism.
